This Father's day, my husband Robert (blue shirt) and our friends Dave and Pete joined Capt. Scott Bussen aboard Relentless II for a full day's fishing trip out of Port Canaveral.
We started off in the middle of the frenzy to get live bait (which was schooling in the Port area) with all the other boats. Capt. Scott hit it right on with his cast net and we were one of the first boats heading out to the big water with a bait well full of feisty live bait.
We started off bottom fishing and Capt. Scott put us RIGHT on the fish. As soon as we put our lines in, they instantaneously started to bite. No kidding- the bite was fast and fun.

We caught our limit of snapper and a few sea bass off the bottom then went for a slow troll for kingfish.
Too bad for Dave, but apparently others were hungry besides this kingfish….
We finished up the day and did the board and enjoyed a few cocktails on the dock. We were very happy with Capt. Scott and his knowledge of the waters and ability to put us on the fish.
