The Relentless II is a 36′ Torres built on Stock Island, in Key West, Florida. Originally built as commercial boats to haul lobster and stone crab traps, the Torres hulls were to built to fish whatever weather was thrown their way. As far as fishing boats go, the 36′ Relentless II is the most sturdy and stable fishing platform I have fished on, taking into account boats up to 39′.
She was recently re-powered in 2010 with a powerful new cummins turbo diesel engine. The new engine provides a higher level of reliability while running more quietly and efficiently.
The boat is fully furnished with both excellent electronics and all USCG required safety equipment. Safety is always a big priority for me, I strive to have a fun and safe day.
The Relentless II has a large, covered cabin with ample, cushioned seating for all in your party to stay comfortably in the shade. On the ride home after a long day of fishing, I’ve seen as many as four people sleeping on the 4′ x 6.5′ engine hatch! The boat does not have air conditioning, but I do have what I commonly refer to as 5 by 15 AC (5 open windows while going 15 knots). There is also a private head (toilet) located downstairs.
If you opt not to bring your own cooler, I have a cooler dedicated to food and drinks only (no fish). As far as your catch goes, there is ample fish box space to ensure that your fish are iced properly to maintain optimum freshness.
Generally speaking, you will have a tough time finding more boat for your money.
