Left early and took the crew for an eleven hour enthusiasts trip. The first stop was all the action you could ever want. The problem was that the amberjacks both big and small were eating the bait so fast, the grouper didn’t have a chance to get to the bait. We did have two shots at grouper, but pulled the hook on both of them. We caught a limit of fat aj’s, an almaco jack and a trigger for that morning bite. We moved into shallower water late in the morning and the bite was a bit slower. We ended up having sever shots a grouper but only managed to capitalize on one. All in all a pretty stellar day!
